Jefferson Learning Center offers special programs in an alternative setting to meet diverse needs and maximize student potential.
Our school serves students ranging in age from birth to 21 years. Our historic campus was built in 1931 and features modern technology and security with controlled access for visitors. Future renovations are planned through the district's 2023 bond program.
High School Acceleration
- Non-disciplinary school of choice
- Self-paced program with digital and teacher-led instruction
- Dropout prevention and an accelerated path to a high school diploma
- Application-based admissions
Adult Continuing Education Services (ACES)
- Transition services for students 18-21 years with unique educational needs
- Provides work-based learning through hands-on experience
- Increases independence, self-advocacy, vocational skills and social integration
- Student-designed items sold by Colorful Mindz Creations
Early Head Start
- Free, full-day child care for newborns to 34 months old
- Available for income-eligible pregnant women, teen parents and families
- Comprehensive federal program
- Services include family goal-setting, parent leadership and learning opportunities, health screenings and support
- Home-based services also available
